Douglas "Lamar"'s Story

Well, where do I start? I guess the first thing to say is that most of my friends from Sea Island will remember me as "Lamar" and not "Douglas." For those that were in my class, they will remember me by nicknames such as, Ramal, Lammy, and maybe Weezy (which I never really understood, but you would have to ask Joe Johnston that!) I am no longer living on Johns Island anymore. In 1995, I moved to Hendersonville, a small community just outside of Walterboro, SC. From there, I went back to college at the local regional USC campus named USC Salkehatchie. I finished there and got a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (BAIS) with emphasis in English and sociology, from...Expand for more
the College of Applied Professions from USC in Columbia. Yes, for those that know me, I graduated as a Tiger fan and became a Gamecock! But believe me, my heart still runs ORANGE! I am now employed there as well, as the manager of the Bookstore/Campus Shop and I am also the Information Technology Coordinator for the two-way video classes we have televised from the other USC regional campuses from across the state. I really like my job, as I have been employed there for 12 years now. I am still single, but that does not bother me. I know one day, my lady of true love will find me and I will find her! That's about it for now. If you want to know more, just ask me! --Lamar
